Learning Contentment

Paul expressed great joy and thanksgiving for the financial support received from the Philippians for the preaching of the truth. However, he saw the need to clarify his state of mind, "Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content" (Philippians 4:11). This virtue of contentment is indispensable. We all, like Paul, must learn it.
